3-Kingdoms MUD

"One of the finest online gaming experiences I ever had. Haven't been back in years and years."

Characters & Screen Names: Grimparrot
Asheron's Call (PC)

"My first graphical MMO, never ever have found the same feeling I got the first time I entered a gate and got that wormhole sound and screen as the zone loaded. The perfect game for an explorer like me."

Asheron's Call 2

"Loved this game, probably my favorite MMO to date, warts and all. I hope to bang on my drums all day with my Tumerok again some day but sadly is not meant to be."

Assassin's Creed (PS3)

"Really great game, albeit very short. Look forward to the sequels"

Auto Assault (PC)

"Really fun game that got overlooked by a lot of people for some reason. RIP."

Characters & Screen Names: Hotblack
Battlefield: Bad Company (X360)

"Fun game. Not COD4 but still fun as all get out."

City of Heroes (PC)

"Great game. Crowded out by other great games."

Server: Freedom

Characters:

Agent Eternity, Level 11 Technology Scrapper — Dark Melee/Regen

Grim Mechanic, Level 12 Magic Mastermind — Bots/Dark Mastermind

Dungeon Runners (PC)

"Fun times, no brains."

Characters & Screen Names: GrimParrot
Dungeons and Dragons Online (PC)

"Great game, just not worth the monthly fee to me. Should have used a Guild wars pricing strategy, with stronger pvp, would have been a lot more successful."

Characters:

Thwunk, Level 10 Warforged Barbarian — No longer active

Earth and Beyond

"A truly entertaining game, with a little love probably could still be thriving."

Characters & Screen Names: Johnnyspaceman
Eve Online (PC)

"Great game, but to do well its almost a job. I already got a job thanks."

Characters:

GrimParrot, Caldari Hybrid — No longer active

Everquest (PC)

"Grand old lady of MMO's. I tried it out just to see what the fuss was about, but found Asheron's Call 1 more compelling, so didnt play long."

Everquest II (PC)

"Fun game, I'd still be playing but never found a good guild to join and the game is not soloable really."

Characters & Screen Names: Berean, Vitae
Guild Wars (PC)

"Great game, often log in for some quick PvP. Have yet to actually play any of the campaigns to their conclusion, though I keep buying them."

Guild: Professional Agitators

Characters:

GrimParrot, Assassin

Halo 3 (X360)

"Good game. Dosen't live up to the hype, but lets face it, what could?"

Characters & Screen Names: Grimparrot (XBL gamertag)
Hellgate: London (PC)

"Fun game if you take it for what it is and not what people wanted it to be"

Characters & Screen Names: Grimparrot
Horizons

"Game with a lot of potential ruined by mismanagement."

Characters & Screen Names: Vitae
Jumpgate (PC)

"A great game, MMO space flight/trading simulator. Another one Id like to see updated."

Characters & Screen Names: Faust
Lord of the Rings Online (PC)

"A massive world, Turbine seems to have gone back to their AC1 roots with some of the finer points of AC2 and WoW to guide them. Throw it in with a unequalled storyline, worth my lifetime subscription"

Server: Landroval

Guild: Band of Hope

Characters:

Berean Truthseeker, Level 41 Dwarf Champion —

Majestic

"One of the first commeciral attempts at a ARG it was clearly ahead of its time. I hope someone else tries something along these lines. It was an utter blast getting calls and IMs related to the game."

Mass Effect (X360)

"Best RPG on a console."

Matrix Online (PC)

"Wonderful game, played it often when I had Station Access. Don't think its worthy of an independent fee, but liked having it part of the package."

Characters & Screen Names: Berean
Neverwinter Nights (AOL) (PC)

"My parents kicked my rear for the hourly charges on this one!"

Neverwinter Nights (PC) (PC)

"One of my all time favorites. Ironically the expansion campaigns were MUCH better than the original."

Neverwinter Nights II (PC)

"Wonderful single player experience, hoping for official expansions like the first one had. I don't get into the player created stuff too much, have to wade through too much dross to play anything worthwhile."

PlanetSide (PC)

"Was a nice change of pace when I had Station Access."

Characters & Screen Names: Vitae
Sims Online (PC)

"A sad pathetic excuse for a chatroom with graphics. I expected better out of Sid Meyer."

Characters & Screen Names: Berean
Spore (PC-MAC)

"The creature creator is fun stuff, cant wait for the full game."

Characters:

Asshat, — My tribute to both presidential candidates

Bluzzard, — Garden buzzard. Ugly guy with flower on his head.

Star Wars Galaxies (PC)

"RIP, I had a lot of fun there despite SOE/Lucasarts. The new game is a shallow imitation of the original. Update: New dev team seems to have fixed a lot of the mess. Fun again so Ill play."

Server: Bria

Guild: Professional Agitators

Characters:

Hotblack, Level 90 Trandoshan Jedi — Elder TKM/CM

Tabula Rasa (PC)

"I really like this game. Its different enough to be refreshing."

Too Human (X360)

"Despite bad reviews, I find the game to be a heck of a lot of fun."

Vanguard: Saga of Heroes (PC)

"Huge potential squandered by inept implementation. I may try again in a year if I can bring myself to give SOE any more of my hard earned cash"

Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (PC)

"Wow what a game, most fun Ive had in a long time."

Server: Vortex

World of Warcraft (PC-MAC)

"Great, polished game, it is what it is. The whole game lacks a certain maturity. It seems kind of shallow."

Server: Hellscream

Guild: Professional Agitators

Characters:

Grimparrot, Level 15 Human Warlock

Mccrabby, Dwarf Paladin

Nightshock, Level 14 Draenei Shaman

Q. Are you interested in working within the game industry? (Answer!)
A. I'm the store manager of a Game Crazy store so in a sense I do, although I think of "working in the industry" to be more the development end. It's cool being where I'm at though and lots of little perks. Like the free copy of Super Mario Strikers Charged Nintendo just sent me.

Q. What is the most overlooked or misunderstood game? (Answer!)
A. Lots of possibilities here, but I'd say Majestic. It was a really cutting edge ARG well before its time. If it launched today I think it would be a lot more successful. Back then the monthly fee model was less accepted than today and people didn;t understand ARG's too well. People still dont now largely, but they are a lot more common.

I had a heck of a lot of fun with it, thats for sure.

Q. Ninjas or pirates? (Answer!)
A. Pirates

Q. How many hours a week do you play? (Answer!)
A. 5-10

Q. What sort of players annoy you the most? (Answer!)
A. 1337 d00dz who got pwned by English class and think they are chillin in the hood yo, as they play a MMO on their parents thousand plus rig in the suburbs.

Q. Do your quiz results on GamerDNA reflect your personality, and if not, what did it get wrong? (Answer!)
A. Pretty much dead on.

Q. Why do you join guilds or clans? (Answer!)
A. To have someone to BS with as I grind. Misery loves company. Plus it would be a sin to deprive others of my rapier wit and sparkling personality.

Q. What are your most memorable achievements in a game? (Answer!)
A. One of the more recent seems a little silly, but it was when I walked into Rivendell the first time on LOTRO. Walking over the hill, I got hit with a hope bonus which just makes everything light up at night, the stars get brighter, etc and the elven city laid out in the valley below, with the waterfall...I felt like I was there. I don't get that sense of wonder in games like I used to.

Q. If you could meet any game developer, who would it be? (Answer!)
A. Lord British. Or the guy who thought up the Star Wars Galaxies New Game Experience, but only if I had a vat of tar and a sack of feathers along.

Q. What are the proper uses of tank guns and bubblegum? (Answer!)
A. Not sure exactly although it involves liberal use of the phrase "yo yo yo" and "sup biatch" and other such pseudo urban crap.

Q. Do you feel relationships within games are meaningful? (Answer!)
A. Not as much as the ones I have in real life, but then again I actually have a real life. Not everyone is as blessed. I don't mean that in a mean way, I have it better than the majority of people I know in games and out.

Q. What question would you add to the Attitudes system? (Answer!)
A. Where did you get your user name and/or avatar from and why?

Q. What sort of tools (calculators, builders, spreadsheets, etc.) do you use to plan your characters? (Answer!)
A. I generally look at the builds made by people who are smarter than me and steal their work.

Q. What do your characters and avatars usually look like? (Answer!)
A. In fantasy games I tend toward dwarves for some reason.

Q. What is the most memorable flamewar you can remember? (Answer!)
A. When a new couple of leaders in a guild I helped get started in SWG took the guild in a different direction that I cared I got into a real heated flamewar. One of those nasty ones where everyone is just taking it way too seriously. I feel kind of ridiculous about it now.

Q. When you are not playing games, what do you do for fun? (Answer!)
A. Grind Wife faction.

Q. What are your favorite tabletop (RPG, board, miniatures, etc.) games? (Answer!)
A. Warhammer 40k, AD&D, Battletech

Q. Beside GamerDNA, what are your favorite websites? (Answer!)
A. FARK.com

Q. What are your thoughts on roleplaying in games? (Answer!)
A. Like radiation it is profitable and safe in small doses. In large quantities it can liquefy otherwise intelligent peoples brains.

Q. Where did you get your gaming names from? (Answer!)
A. My ass, or the ass of the person next to me, provided they are attractive.

Q. If you could bring any book, movie or comic to life in a game, which would you choose? (Answer!)
A. David Eddings Belgariad series. I'd love to see the city of Riva and the flaming sword of the riven king in a game someday.

Q. Have you ever had a romantic encounter with someone you met in a game? (Answer!)
A. Hell no. My wife wont let me. :-)

Q. What music do you like to play games to? (Answer!)
A. I usually just stick with the soundtrack of the game

Q. Other than your console or PC, what is the piece of hardware you can't live without? (Answer!)
A. My FANG gamepad.

Q. What is a feature you would like added to GamerDNA? (Answer!)
A. Its scary. I was thinking something like this would be cool, and there it was. Like your sucking the thoughts out of my brain. HONEY WHERES THE DARN TIN FOIL? I NEED A NEW HAT! umm what were we talking about?

Q. How do you feel about selling virtual items for real money? (Do NOT advertise RMT services!) (Answer!)
A. I hate what its done to games. But I understand the demand and I'm all about the capitalistic instinct to make a buck.

Q. Do you use voice chat? (Answer!)
A. Yes, but only when absolutely needed

Q. In real life, are you male or female? (Answer!)
A. Male

Q. What are your thoughts on player-made mods/addons for games? (Answer!)
A. Can be good. I think the WOW model is pretty awesome really. Adds a lot to the game if you can make the interface what you want.

Q. How do you feel about playing characters of the opposite sex? (Answer!)
A. Been there, done that. Never do it for real long for some reason.

Q. If you could cancel any online game, which would it be? (Answer!)
A. Star Wars Galaxies, so Lucas Arts would give the license to someone else. Like Blizzard or NCsoft.

Q. If you made your own game, what would it be like? (Answer!)
A. The original SWG with the bugs hammered out.

Q. Have you ever had a memorable real-life meeting with other gamers? (Answer!)
A. Not really.

Q. What are the specs on your gaming rig? (Answer!)
A. Copied from my Xfire profile:

Manufacturer: Custom built
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs), ~2.0GHz
Memory: 2048MB RAM
Hard Drive:120 GB
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GS
Monitor: 19" LCD
Sound Card: SB X-Fi Audio
Speakers/Headphones:Altec Lansing VS221 35 Watt
Keyboard: Logitech G-15 Gaming Keyboard
Mouse: Logitech G-5 Gaming Mouse
Mouse Surface: My Fat Thigh
Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 (2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.061219-0316)

Q. What do you love or hate about PVP? (Answer!)
A. Like killing people. Hate getting killed. Which is why I tend to not like PVP too much because theres lots of the latter, not so much of the former.

Q. What is your first computer or video gaming memory? (Answer!)
A. Video game wise, my folks bought pong and it burned in the black in white tv in the basement horrifically. I feel old.

Q. What experience do you have beta-testing games? (Answer!)
A. LOTS. You name a MMO beta in the last 5 years I was probably there.

Q. When do you play, including timezone? (Answer!)
A. 7-9pm weekdays CST

Q. What mods do you play with? (Answer!)
A. When I played world of warcraft I played with discord mods. Nothing now that Ive moved on to other games
