I really don't know what to say to be honest. I thought that when I left, the leadership taking over would more than be ready to take over the clan. Last time I had checked in, things were going well, and I felt a great sense of pride, and fufillment. I thought my duty was done, and that the COHW would stay strong as when we first formed. I see now I was wrong.

This is not a berating to those of you who have been here since the first days, those who helped in making this clan what it once was. To those few, and you know who you are, thank you....

CALLING ALL COUNCIL MEMBERS

alright im not even sure how many of us there are left it seems like every time i come back there is another person either leaving for two weeks or leaving period while this is fine i am worried that we cannot operate under these conditions so i am asking you guys if you think we should shut down for two weeks in a matter of speaking so everyone can get things in order tell me what you think

Expansion Information

Alright everyone, I believe that the "reparations" thread has served its purpose, or at least does not serve the purpose that this thread shall.

It has come to my attention that we need to, well not necessarily expand, but that's the best word i can think of.

Alright this is our idea(s): We are going to have multiple sub clans. CoHW will still be the main clan, and all other sub clans will be named similarly to CoHW. for example, IoLD would be infected of left 4 dead or something....

clan friendly match

with the new patch announced i propose another 3vs3 clan friendly match it has been a while, and i promise i won't be forge, if any one wants to set a time or date for this thing go ahead it an idea i'm putting forward becaue it has been a while since we all played a game together

Title Update #3

it looks like Robot have been listening to the comunity all along, they have announced that they are in the process of creating Title Update #3 in this update it will look at the warthogs effectiveness, teamkilling, also goin to make invisible units health bars invisible and also looking at other balancing issues please post your opinions on what you think about this new update coming soon(hopefully)

news just in this is some info that a mod on halowars has just released:

I am involving the community a little bit earlier in the process this time around and sharing the first pass balance changes that we are testing internally at the moment.

Your feedback and discussion are welcome as long as everyone stays polite and gracious to each other. This thread will be heavily moderated so that we get the best feedback, so if your post gets removed, please try to rephrase it in a more constructive manner.

Caveat: The balance items are still somewhat in flux and as such I am not posting the exact numbers we are testing but rather the general balance ideas we are testing. note: We will share final numbers when the title update is closer to completion when we write the final title update notes.

Balance changes::

1. Gauss warthog gauss cannon damage bonus against units with heavy armor (Scorpions, Wraiths, Scarabs, Locusts) reduced so that tanks will stay as a viable option to counter warthogs.

2. Warthog build time slightly increased to restrict how fast players can mass and replace warthogs during the game.

3. Anders bonus to tech build rate reduced to further balance the leader.

4. Base turrets attack and health boosted slightly to increase turret viability in early and late game.

5. Elephant health increased to improve survivability and viability as a unit.

6. Grenade/ Plasma grenade / RPG damage against medium armor (warthogs, ghosts, choppers, wolverines and cobras) increased to both better balance marines/ grunts against warthogs and to improve marines overall against players who try to turtle with wolverines and cobras.

7. Recycle basic cost return fixed to be 50% for constructed buildings. (While a technically a bug, this directly impacts many slightly exploitive strategies)

Whos hungry I know I am so I think a roast is needed. Oh no no no put whoroast and whopudding away thats not what I meant what I meant was, In order to relieve tension and allow a plain old good time we can pick at one person for a roast thread make all the jokes about him you want get all the tension out no fighting on these threads they are for fun so if you do start a fight well.......I may....or may not..... be inclined to sell tickets.But anyway this person will always be informed before hand and asked by the roast maker of which there can only be one we dont want little roasts everywhere you might start a fire and well then Id have to cry a little. a new feature for bungie will be the render to video feature this allows someone to download their film clips on to their computer at the moment it is in the public beta. people who have had bungie pro before the announcment would have been given some credits to use the amount so far is 1 credit per minute for standards and 5 credits per min for HD the amount of credits is dependant on how much you buy yh you got it it costs but still a nice feature to use if you want lots of film that you can download and distribute with friends...

greater dynamic gaming

with the clan being centred around halowars and the release of more information on the combat system i felt this would help people get a better understanding of the specific units. with the rock paper scissors combat system this page will go into more detail about it giving the clan member a better understanding of what it is all about.

Alright guys we need a change

O.K. so I understand some of you are far from happy with halowars and I understand as it is not what I hoped it would be. But rather then get stuck in a rut I say let us get past it and live life for the better.
So that is why my good friends in order to prompt you to select a new game in this very game that this clan can represent we may always be the covenent of halowars we don't always need to stick to halowars. So post an opinion of an fps rts or mmo ,prefferably for three sixty, that would be good for clan play. And please resist typing in the phrase or phrases pertaining to "We don't need this right now." If you have a problem please pm me....

New members, Activity, other things of importance

As you all know, we are going to be trying to recruit a lot of new members to bolster our ranks. Well, I think we need to continue with our activity monitoring regime. We NEED to enforce that we need ACTIVE members. I need whoever was in charge of doing it to give me weekly reports VIA pm of all members statuses. That would be greatly appreciated. Try to get me the first report by this Friday. You have lots of time to do this so if you can get it done, thanks.

About new members, I need EVERYONE who is playing halowars ONLINE to be searching for new members. If you play a good game, and think they could be a valued member, TALK to them. We need more members to fill out our ranks....

A New Generation

Hello, everyone! I apologize for not getting this up earlier, but I have made my choices. This was an extremely difficult choice, and all of you were qualified, but I had to narrow it down to two. If you have any foul feelings toward me for not getting chosen, I completely understand your frustrations. Realize though, that everyone has a purpose here, it has been that way from the very beginning. I hope that those of you who are not elected will only take this as a motivation to strive in other areas....

Prophets

Everyone, I hate to have to do this, but due to having to work, go to school, and take care of things at home, it has left me little time to oversee the activites of this clan. While I regret doing this, by remaining a leader, I am only serving as a burden. I will be leaving the COHW soon, whether I can return or not will depend on my schedule.

So, in order to keep the COHW strong, I am going to choose two responsible members, who have the time to serve as dedicated leaders. If you are interested, please send me an application via PM by April 19th. Prophet is not an easy task, so make sure your schedule is flexible enough....

I would first like to thank everyone who tried out for Councilor Elections for doing so, offering to take on that much responsibility is no easy task. While I would have liked to allow more, too many Councilors would cause more problems than needed. So, please show your respect to the latest additions to the High Council.

weekly updates

as you know me and darkapostle222 have been apointed the role of librarian one of the tasks that is part of our rank is to update on the news. i have come to the conclusion that we should have something aong the lines of a weekly update, probably friday night, something more regular where people can have a look at all the news that we have gathered over the week maybe have a competition or two (prize would probs be bragging rights)
if you have some news of which you would like to announce please feel free to PM me or darkapostle with the information date and any other information regarding the announcemtn i hope this becomes a success as the clan will be infomed a lot more with the information and it will give people the chance to have their say i thank you for your time and hope that you check for the next weekly update....

The Arcadian Conflict

The Arcadian Conflict

After the disappearence of the Sprit of Fire after the Battle of Arcadia along with Professer Anders and all Spartan Group Omega, the UNSC has sent a large task force under the command of Commander William Travin to find out their fate and that of the planet of Arcadia. They arrive on the and begin to set up operation centers in order to search for the missing ship and to combat any Covenant forces.

Meanwhile, believing that there may still be relics worth plundering on Arcadia, the Hierarchs send forth a fleet under the command of the Lesser Prophet of Rapture in order to wipe the human vermin from the planet. Under the command of Supreme Command Enba 'Canamee, the Covenant have created a large base directly under the nose of the pathetic humans....

Elections

Sorry for being gone, I have had a bit of a rough week. Putting that aside, I will be selecting the Librarian of the COHW this Wednesday. If you are interested in holding this position, please send an application via pm to me by Wednesday.

Also, later this week, new Councilors will be selected. Anyone may apply to be a Councilor, but priority will be given to those who have demonstrated excellent leadership skills. After Councilors are chosen, we will choose Prophets, and then Tier 3 will be nearly complete....

The Keeper of Knowledge

I apologize for not putting this up earlier, but now I feel it is time. Soon, another rank will be included in the COHW. This person will not bear an easy burden. The Librarian will be the keeper of all knowledge of Halo that is needed, as well as the status of the clan. The Librarian will also be in charge of updates and news.
