This expansion to Microsoft's Zoo Tycoon 2 lets amateur business mavens and armchair zoologists delve further into the world of "what ifs" by adding extinct animals to the mix. Extinct Animals features more than 30 vanished creatures, from the tasty (dodo bird), to the terrifying (smilodon), as well as ten new dinosaurs like T-Rex and stegosaurus, for that authentic "Jurassic Park" feel.

Extinction themes abound as players can now customize their zoos with buildings, like the Fossil Education Center, themed objects, like glaciers and cavemen, and even a brachiosaurus slide for kids to enjoy. Gamers can hire paleontologists to help them find hidden fossils around the park, or build animal fossils and create new extinct animals in the Extinct Research Lab. Zoo Tycoon 2: Extinct Animals also introduces an all new first-person shooter game mode in which players must tranquilize escaping dinosaurs. ~ Christopher Brown, All Game Guide
