DESCRIPTION
The first DS game to feature the popular anime hero follows the rules and play of the table-top trading card game. Combat results are illustrated in the top screen, with detailed animations, but battles are won or lost according to how players use their custom decks of cards, which is displayed in the lower screen. A close-up view of any card in the deck can be gained with a tap of the stylus. While computer opponents are designed to pose a worthy challenge, two Nightmare Troubadour players can connect and compete head to head (or just use their DS wireless connection to trade cards and improve their decks). ~ T.J.
