DESCRIPTION

In Ys: The Ark of Napishtim, players awaken on an island after being tossed from a ship by the Great Vortex. As Adol Christin, players will explore the islands and collect Emel stones that can be used in sword upgrades for battling monsters. Each sword has an element that it draws power from, so one may have fire attacks, while another will possess the wind affinity. The game features a quest adventure, "Time Attack" mode, and "Rhedan Trials." "Time Attack" features boss battles from the story, and "Rhedan Trials" are mini-games that can be played after unlocking them during the quest. Extra's included with the PSP version of the game are "Raba's Diary," a character database with detailed information on heroes and villains, videos, cut-scenes, and a musical score that is playable on the PSP's media player. ~ Gracie Leach, All Game Guide
