X-Plane is a realistic flight simulator that includes honest, detailed renditions of over 40 real-life planes and hundreds of realistic locations and cityscapes. In addition to the immense effort put toward realistic accuracy, variety and customization options are also among the strongest features of this release. Players can choose to fly vehicles that range from lightweight gliders and single-prop "home-builts" to advanced military jets and 'copters, and even a space shuttle.
