DESCRIPTION
By the year 2084, only one city on Earth can support human life: Mega-Primus. The rest of the planet has been contaminated from past wars with aliens, resulting in an atmosphere filled with deadly toxins and a completely altered climate. Mega-Primus was built as the solution to this disaster, functioning as a self-contained city that would shield its people from the environmentally ravaged planet.
While everything was peaceful for decades, recent increases in violence and crime suggest that something is wrong. If that weren't enough, sightings of UFOs have picked up and people are starting to flee to other colonies. It's only a matter of time before complete chaos erupts! Sensing this danger, the Senate has secretly agreed to support an investigation to determine if aliens are indeed behind the unrest.
X-COM: Apocalypse is the third game in the X-COM series on the PC, which began in 1994 with X-COM: UFO Defense. You must once again lead the X-COM unit to investigate the mysterious happenings from an isometric viewpoint, only this time it's set within a futuristic city.
Send your squad into various buildings (after first assigning them to vehicles such as hovercars) to either find evidence of the alien presence or engage in combat to retrieve their technology. Your goal is to recover as many artifacts as possible so your scientists can find ways to defeat the aliens once and for all. In a departure from the last two games in the series, the tactical part of the game can be played using either turn-based movement or in real time. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide

“Seriously. They routinely price things at 80% off, which is just about the point at which I can no longer make rational economic decisions. For less than $5, I'll buy games I'm pretty sure I won't like. Then you get so used to firing up whatever game you feel like that it becomes a ridiculous burden to have to go put in a disc. :P”

“Pretty much full price. My wife managed to snag Borderlands for $44 at Target shortly after Thanksgiving. She had to buy Assassin's Creed II twice because she accidentally ordered the 360 version the first time. Whoops. For some reason though, she wasn't amused by my solution of "we could just go buy a 360." Ah well, c'est la vie.”

“I got Assassin's Creed II, and Dragon Ball Raging Blast. ACII was a lot better than I expected (I was a bt unsure if it would be good or not, but it's excellent), and DBRB is pretty tough at times but it's going to keep me busy for a long time! Oh, I also got a copy of Megaman Zero (GBA) - which I haven't played much of yet - and I bought Ninja Gaiden Sigma II with some Christmas money, but that's in the pipeline til I'm bored (I've already got and completed NGII).”

“I finally got enough money to get the Fallout GotY edition and the store where the bulk of my gift cards were designated didn't have it. So instead I picked up the Pitt and OA expansion disc and got a copy of the game used for less than twenty bucks. This game is so great, can't wait for NEW VEGAS.”

“@SDxBrandimus nope just the original FF 7 tis a total nostalgic buzz.. the music, the great graphics for thier time are still on par with the ds tho.. The story is still one of the best with alot of perverse humour not found in the rest of the series.. Cloud dresses up as a girl to save tifa from a brothel?! Absolute classic! ^_^”

The bills and debts and what not, that I rack up in Swik really do not hit me until June the following year.
Which, to be fully honest, I would prefer to be broke in June than in January.
Somehow I suspect in doing so I have two major effects:
1) Supporting the economy better during what typically is a slump (January, February and March)
2) Getting some typically better (well better balanced) prices during those months due to lack of people shopping due to the effects of the Holiday season.
I mean, yes, the sales are over--but typically sales tend to only apply to certain items--anything not on sale tends to be over priced, compared to the rest of the year.”
