We all ask ourselves this question: When the end comes, will we be ready? It is a question that has plagued the pinks and reds for centuries. They have lived side by side in peace for hundreds of years. But underneath their soft, squishy exteriors, each has harbored a secret hatred for the other. Slowly the tensions mounted and soon they split into factions. With that, both sides began creating and acquiring weapons of mass destruction.

Some called for an end to the madness; others wanted to release the dogs of war. They have tried to settle their differences. They have tried to make peace, but in the end, it has come to war. Armageddon is upon us! Well, upon the worms anyway.

In Worms Armageddon from Infogrames, you must lead an elite team of one to four crack worm commandos against the computer or a friend in this turn-based strategy game. Choose from over 13 crazy and brutal weapons from baseball bats to explosive sheep. Yes, sheep! But not just any sheep; these bad ewes will chase down any enemy they are pointed at. You can even call in an air strike and blow those invertebrates to bits. Or play cooperatively and see what wormy mayhem you can create.

Then select the options you want, like how long each worm gets to fight, how many hit points each worm will have and what type of landscape you'll wage your campaign in, just to name a few. Remember that the terrain can be helpful and harmful; after all, they're just worms.

Worms: Armageddon for the Nintendo 64 features 44 single-player missions, four-player cooperative or competitive play, and a random level generator so that no two battles are the same. Need some help perfecting your strategy? Create a team and head out to the Training mode, where you must complete objectives on five different courses within two minutes!
