DESCRIPTION
The third game in the Worms series is the first for the Dreamcast. Worms: Armageddon pits squads of well-armed, wiggly worms in a fight to the death on 2D, fully destructible battlefields. One player can take on AI-controlled teams in a deathmatch or through 30 missions. There is also a multi-player mode for up to four players to battle it out with customized teams of worms. Since the game is turn-based you can have four players share one controller.
The battlefields feature all kinds of themes, from junkyards to bomb shelters. Most battlefields typically consist of a number of platforms to move between. Players take turns with each turn having a time limit. Across the battlefield animated worms will move (with the help of gadgets like bungee cords and ninja ropes) and assault each other with more than 55 weapons, including bazookas, napalm, exploding sheep, baseball bats, and singing hand grenades.
Dozens of extra features are included, such as a library of worm voices to choose from, six training modes, customizable landscapes, and even the ability to save your favorite teams and battlefields. ~ Joel Durham, All Game Guide
