DESCRIPTION
Sega's managerial treatment of "The Beautiful Game" continues with another year's worth of changes and additions, including fully updated rosters for more than 5,000 worldwide clubs and a new 3D match engine that lets players watch the action unfold in real-time. The new match engine lets managers fast forward game action, rewind to key moments, and completely customize the user interface to include whichever stats they please. Teams and leagues from more than 50 countries are represented, and the game features complete statistics for more than 350,000 players and staff members.
Those daunted by the options can receive pre-match and in-match feedback from an Assistant Manager, but gamers must always maintain an air of leadership, because poorly chosen answers in post-game press conferences can lead to intense media scrutiny. The addition of transfer rumors provides another reason for the media to get involved with teams, and getting more from players has been made easier due to simpler position and skill training. And for the first time in the Worldwide Soccer Manager series, gamers can play as a female manager and break new ground as the first woman to lead a men's soccer team to a championship. ~ Christopher Brown, All Game Guide
