DESCRIPTION
Wizard of Wor, a licensed adaptation of the Bally/Midway arcade shooter, puts you into the shoes of a laser-toting Worrior exploring deadly dungeons in the Kingdom of Wor. The game features a two player cooperative option or a single player may take on the challenge alone.
The object of the game is to score as many points as possible while advancing through a series of increasingly challenging single-screen mazes. The players must clear all the monsters out of a maze in order to advance to the next maze. The players destroy the monsters by blasting them with laser rifles.
The three basic types of monsters (collectively called Worlings) are the Burwors, Garwors and Thorwors. At the end of certain mazes, the players will also be confronted by the flying Warluk (The Wizard's winged beast) or perhaps even The Wizard of Wor himself. Although some of the monsters can become invisible, a radar display at the bottom of the screen can help the Worriors stay out of harm's way. ~ Joseph Scoleri III, All Game Guide
