DESCRIPTION

As they begin their second year at the Alfea School for Fairies, the Winx Club must face and overcome the evil Lord Darkar and his band of witches. This group of baddies are on a Quest for the Codex — scattered pieces of an artifact said to grant the user powers to control the universe. Bloom, Flora, Layla, Musa, Tecna, and Stella are on the hunt to find the pieces first and protect the shards from acts of thievery.

The girls may move around by hovering across the screen much like the movements of a side-scrolling shooter, and each character has the ability to execute projectile attacks at their foe. While exploring such environments as Alfea, Red Fountain, Pixie Village, and Cloud Tower, the girls have the opportunity to unlock additional clothing and accessories to keep or send to friends through a wireless connection.
