DESCRIPTION
Winter Games gives you the opportunity to compete in seven different events from the 1988 Winter Olympics held at Calgary, Alberta. The game allows you to compete in one or all events. You may also practice each event.
The game allows up to 8 players to compete against one another. Each player is allowed to enter their own name and compete on behalf of one of 18 different countries. Medals are awarded at the end of each event.
The seven events featured in the game are the Biathlon (a mixture of cross-country skiing and target shooting), Speed Skating, Ski Jumping, Bobsled, Figure Skating, Freestyle Skating, and Hot Dog Aerials. The Speed Skating event allows two player head-to-head competition.
The game begins with an opening ceremony. The gold medal winner's national anthem is played during the award ceremonies. High scoring performances are saved on disk as world records. ~ Joseph Scoleri III, All Game Guide
