Wild Metal Country presents arcade-styled shooting action with a interesting story. In the Tehric planetary system, there are some worlds inhabited by machines that were originally put there by mankind. However, instead of protecting power cores so vital to the worlds' survival as they were designed to do, these machines have decided to wipe out all biological life on these planets.

To save human life as we know it, you must patrol the surface of these planets in one of five types of tank. These five tanks are known as Rhino, Bulldog, Cheetah, Roadrunner and Manta. Also at your disposal are explosive mines to lay and a large cannon to fire. The cannons fire special "smart shells" with names (and matching characteristics) such as "Bouncer," "Sniffer," "Sprinkler," "Big Bang." and "Drifter." This wide variety of available equipment will help you keep the rugged and steep planet landscapes safe while mankind seeks secrets located in the Tehric system. ~ Nick Smith, All Game Guide
