DESCRIPTION

The anime-Western series plays on a portable system for the first time with this release, which keeps the series' narrative setting but introduces a new style for fighting battles. Set in a sci-fi wasteland inspired the American wild west, the game leads the young knight Clarisa from her peaceful home in pursuit of the villain who stole her mother's magic sword. She befriends strange new companions and rises up against injustice left in the wake of the disapperance of the land's heir-apparent.

Combat plays out in a turn-based tactics style on a hexagonal grid, not unlike battles in Final Fantasy Tactics or Jean d'Arc. Character initiative is determined individually, so heroes each take their turns according to their reaction times. The action may move back and forth between opposing sides multiple times each round, until each combatant on either side, from fastest to slowest, has had a turn to attack. ~ T.J.
