DESCRIPTION
Are you tired of sitting at home watching ABC's Who Wants to be a Millionaire, wishing you could take part in the furious trivia drama? How come you're never selected as a lifeline? Not smart enough? Doesn't Regis Philbin look snazzy with his designer suits? Is that your final answer? Prove 'em wrong and win a million (virtual) dollars in Who Wants to be a Millionaire CD-ROM 2nd Edition!
As a sequel to Jellyvision's immensely popular Who Wants to be a Millionaire CD-ROM, the second edition contains 600 new multiple-choice questions and more wisecracking comments and video clips of host Regis Philbin. Questions range from common knowledge to challenging tidbits of trivia including geographic locations, movies, famous events and religion. You'll have to overcome 15 hard-hitting questions to achieve the million dollars with the only safe havens being the 1,000 and 32,000 dollar marks; upon reaching these levels, you are guaranteed to win those amounts.
If you don't know a question, you can use one of the following all-new second edition lifelines: Ask the Audience, Phone a Friend and the 50/50. Asking the audience for help reveals a chart based on what they think. They're not always right, so be cautious! The Phone a Friend lifeline calls upon a virtual companion for assistance. Your friend will talk out the question and give you an answer based on what he or she thinks — again, they're not always right. Finally, the 50/50 takes away two wrong answers leaving only one wrong answer and the correct one. Go with your gut instinct or walk away with whatever amount you've one thus far!
Witness the full Who Wants to be a Millionaire experience by inviting a couple friends over. When multiple players are involved, the Fastest Finger round becomes available. Winning this round involves coming up with the correct answers in the shortest amount of time. Questions typically deal with putting an event or timeline together in the correct order. Whoever wins moves on to the hot seat and earns a chance to win virtual bucks.
Who Wants to be a Millionaire CD-ROM 2nd Edition is for those who can't get enough of ABC's hit television program or the original PC game. It may not be a ticket to New York, but it'll certainly give your brain a workout! ~ Matthew House, All Game Guide
