DESCRIPTION

Inspired by the film White Man Can't Jump, this game portrays the Slam City two-on-two half-court basketball tournament. Up to four human players can compete in a single game or in a series of tournament games.

Most of the games take place on one of four different courts: Venice Beach, Compton, Torrance or Downey. The Tournament finals are held at the Inglewood Forum. There are fourteen two person teams to choose from. Each team member is rated for shooting accuracy, energy and speed. In addition, each team member also has a special super dunk which is activated by pressing multiple keys.

On the courts a moving camera perspective tracks the 3D action. Basic joypad controls include shoot, jump, pass, punch and speed boost. Games can be ended by a variable time limit or point limit.

In the Tournament Mode you start by borrowing $500. You use this to bet on your games in order to raise the $5000 entry fee for the Slam City Tournament. You only have 30 games in which to accomplish this (or the loan sharks come after you!) ~ Joseph Scoleri III, All Game Guide
