DESCRIPTION
Wetrix for the N64 is a game that has taken the gameplay dynamics of many of it's puzzler predecessors and added a fresh new twist to the genre. The gameplay seems innocent enough, initially. A series of randomly shaped pieces fall down onto a isometric landscape. The player can control the movement and rotation of the pieces as they fall. The first pieces are needed to create channels and dams that will ultimately trap the coming water.
The gameplay quickens as water bubbles begin to fall and you need to line up these areas of water with the walled off areas that you have created. If there is no way to contain the water, it will drain off the landscape into a drain indicator which is located on the right side of the screen.
The ultimate goal of the game is to contain the most water on the landscape as possible, which in turn allows you to obtain the higher score multipliers associated with this. Other gameplay events such as fireballs, and bombs alter the landscape and further complicate your ultimate goal. ~ Paul Biondich, All Game Guide
