DESCRIPTION
Comely covert operative Rubi Malone accepts a potentially lucrative contract to find a socialite's rebellious son in this Kill Bill-inspired action game from Bethesda Software. A pastiche of '70s action films, Wet is a third-person shooter incorporating both sword fighting and acrobatic maneuvers. The agile and adept Malone will travel to exotic locales across three continents to locate her target, who isn't what he seems. Malone needs to keep her wits about her as she battles countless enemies while running across walls, sliding across floors, and more in stylistic, slow-motion sequences. Athletic moves can also be linked together to create score-boosting, blood-splattering combos. Points earned during the campaign can be traded in for new moves and weapon upgrades to enhance Malone's damage output. Wet's story was penned by Duppy Demitrius, known for his work on television's 24, while actress Eliza Dushku (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Dollhouse) lends her voice to the sultry star. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide

“Mostly popped this in to show it to a friend. Didn't get all that far, or to show off really all that much. Oh well, I need to play this again at some point anyway.”

“I bought this game for it's sex appeal, I must admit, and because I enjoyed Kill Bill. Seemed like a no brainer, but I was terribly wrong. This game is a one trick pony that didn't do it very well. It was too reliant on jumping around and putting everything in slow motion. The power slides upset me too, if you ever get this game power slide over a set of stairs, you will see what I mean, it's like she's hovering over them and the fact that they are STAIRS and she's isn't tripping up or catching onto it.
The blood rage vision thing was nifty though, even though if you wanted to get your artistic fix I'd highly recommend Mad World instead.”

“Finished my golden bullets run, fell shy of getting the 50,000 points, though. I have an idea for my next try at that, though. Did get to max out the weapons this run, but didn't have enough for all...”

“Despite feeling quite frustrated at several points in the game afterwards i find myself thinking quite fondly back on the experience. If they make a WET 2 I will certainly give it a look.”

“Finally beat Wet - ugh... That platforming towards the end pissed me off like nothing else! You'd have about 8 seconds of platforming before your untimely death, and then sit through about 20-30...”

“Wet appeals on a purely ridiculous level. Whether you're contorting your body through several 360 degree turns in a single jump, or diving out of an exploding airplane, dodging bits of debris and...”

“Started a Golden Bullets run, tried to speed run at the same time. I think I've pretty much killed enough time now that I can start getting ready to head off to Gamestop. Brutal Legend, wooooooo!”

“Giving Wet a serious shot. Thus far the action seems quite enjoyable with all the excessive bullet-time. Only the platforming seems to be lacking in this game, in a very serious fashion.”

“Started playing Wet since Katamari Forever is pretty much complete. Thus far, I'm quite impressed with the presentation and execution of the game - it's so enjoyable to have Rubi dive backwards...”
