DESCRIPTION

Way of the Exploding Fist is a 2D, side view, one-on-one fighting game. Two karate experts, one dressed in white and the other in red, square off against each other and you must guide one of them to victory by hitting the opposing fighter and scoring more points within a round.

Each expert has access to a variety of martial arts techniques, including kicks, punches, jumping kicks, foot sweeps, spin kicks and blocks. Each technique that lands successfully is scored with either half a point or a full point, depending on how cleanly the blow landed.

The first fighter to accumulate two full points wins the match. Alternatively, if the timer runs down without either fighter scoring two full points, the fighter with the highest point total wins. Should both fighters be evenly matched in points, the score determines the winner. Each technique landed counts for a certain score value and the higher scoring fighter wins the match. If the scores are equal as well, the two fighters must engage in a rematch.

Starting from novice level, each victory brings you closer to master status. With each promotion, you will face off against more skillful computer opponents. Two gamers can also fight against each other in the two-player, same screen mode. ~ Kyle Knight, All Game Guide
