DESCRIPTION

Heavily influenced by Wave Race 64 for the Nintendo 64, Wave Runner is a physically demanding simulation that does what the home game can't. The cabinet is a hydraulically controlled wave-runner mock-up, complete with handlebars and seat. As players blast across the ocean, breaking a sweat while leaning into turns and fighting the waves, the unit bumps and jerks in conjunction with the onscreen action. There are only three tracks (all of which are fairly simple) and the number of tricks you can do is limited, but the game does have a degree of short-term entertainment value and is complemented by realistic sound effects and graphics. ~ Brett Alan Weiss, All Game Guide
