DESCRIPTION
Men, elves, and dwarfs unite to battle against the dark forces of destruction in this first persistent world role-playing game based on the Warhammer fantasy universe. One of the title's distinguishing features is its realm versus realm combat, where faction members engage rival armies to conquer control points, keeps, and even capital cities. Your side's performance in these battles will determine the prosperity of your realm, influencing the types of items, dungeons, and quests available. While player versus player combat is Age of Reckoning's primary focus, more traditional means of earning experience and leveling up are also available. This includes an assortment of solo and public quests, with the latter offering cooperative play in a series or chain of events.
Six playable races are divided evenly across the game's two opposing factions: the Realm of Order and the Realm of Destruction. Realm of Order lets you create a dwarf, high elf, or human, while Realm of Destruction is comprised of greenskin, dark elf, and human races. Each race offers three to four careers, the game's equivalent of classes, which vary based on gender and faction. As you battle creatures and players, you will gradually fill a "Tome of Knowledge" and unlock new abilities, rewards, storylines, and other surprises. All of your in-game accomplishments will also be documented for posterity, allowing you to bask in the glory of your heroic exploits with friends and fellow guild members. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide

“This was the closest PvP instanced battle I've ever seen. They had literally 499 as soon as we capped all 3 flags giving us enough boost to beat them xD”

“This is a 3.5/5 I rounded to 4 though.
First the good stuff. I loved beta, it was the best game I ever played when I played it in beta before it released...then it actually released and all hell broke loose. It was mostly due to over-expectations from mythic who decided having way too many servers was better than not enough. Then people started quitting because of imbalances/crapatches/graphics lag/etc. and it really tore apart very fast. I even preordered this beast and ended up quitting the 3rd or 4th day because the game hitched like no other.
Well I'm basing this review on the current patch that I just tried for about 2 days;
Basically, they fixed the graphics lag, they fixed some imbalancing, well a lot actually, they added an entirely new area for 25~endgame, added some endgame PvE content, fixed up keep seiges/RvR, added 4 new classes, etc.
Now while this is great and all it feels like one of those too little too late situations...I really doubt this game will start getting back any numbers unless they pull a turbine. From the looks of it, they are starting to do that actually. When patch 1.3.2 came out recently they made the trial an unlimited amount of time. So you can get onto the game and stay rank 11 for however long you want, this could mean they are either 1) just trying to attract more players into wanting to buy the rest of the game or 2) they are testing around to see if they would profit from making the game completely, or partially F2P.
In my opinion, they need to have it F2P and some sort of P2P or cash shop content....the only thing I can think of is if they make some armor/weapons that is overpowered and sell it in the cash shop but that would really suck. Honestly I cannot think of a way they could do it but they really need to if they want people to come back and play their game. Either that or just ditch this and create warhammer 40k lol I'd pay for that without a doubt.
Anyways, the game is great pvp is wonderful skills are very strategic and everything is great. The only thing I don't like is the population is low for one, and for another they have too many maps for RvR. Just combine everything into one large sized map and only make like 5 things to capture instead of 3x3, it gets too complicated having to switch maps to RvR and being too spread out when leveling and such.”
