DESCRIPTION

War Rock is an online game where players select their role from a variety of different classes and then enter into numerous modes of battle through the Internet. After selecting their character from such classes as engineer, scout combatant, heavy weapons unit, and medic, players can compete against up to 24 opponents in modes that include "Urban Ops" and "Battle Group."

Though the basic game is free, gamers can earn a month long membership by purchasing in game currency called dinar. The membership comes with access to "members-only" areas of the online community and opportunities to win goodies like ATI graphics cards by competing in special events. Dinar is also earned by completing missions and battles with high scores.

The currency is used to purchase better weapons and class specific upgrades such as under-barrel grenade launchers, improved wrenches, and claymore mines. Around 24 vehicles make an appearance in the game, and players can commandeer such transportation as helicopters, humvees, dirt bikes, and attack boats in an effort to take out the enemy forces. On foot, gamers must use weapons including a Glock, M4A1, MP5K, and AK47 to mow down the opposition. ~ Gracie Leach, All Game Guide

“WarRock is a FPS with good guns, rag doll physics, nice action and low tone graphics. You don't need a computer from NASA to run it, and yet it can still be a load of fun. Snipers, Assault and medics on a fairly nice sized battlefield. ”
