DESCRIPTION
Action role-playing game fans have another PSP title to sink their swords through with this follow-up to 2005䀙s Untold Legends: Brotherhood of the Blade. The storyline follows a race of shape-shifting characters that are being systematically enslaved or destroyed as part of an evil warlord䀙s plot to conquer the land. Players will take control of one of five shape-shifters, advancing through a five-chapter story that features over 45 areas to explore. Each character must be wary of deadly traps, vile creatures, and devious puzzles as they set out to end the warlord䀙s ruinous reign.
Character types include a prowler, disciple, guardian, scout, and mercenary. All offer distinct moves and special attacks as well as a beast transformation that heightens their inherent powers. A variety of quests are available to undertake, all accessible from a revamped quest journal, and players can store more items and enhancements with the improved inventory system. Over 40 individual enemy types and 12 boss characters must be vanquished to save the land, but the adventures need not end with the single-player game. Heroes can go online for some two-player cooperative action or a four-player free-for-all, with each mode offering lobbies, matchmaking, and a ranking system. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide
