DESCRIPTION
Turok: Rage Wars picks up where the deathmatch levels in Turok 2 left off. Although this game offers a single player option, the game's 36 different arenas are targeted at the deathmatch crowd. For instance, the game helps you back up your bragging (or fragging?) rights by allowing each player to save individualized statistics.
Sporting an optimized version of the Turok engine, Turok: Rage Wars adds a number of new weapons and power-ups to the Turok universe, from the relatively mild boomerang to the wild chest burster (which implants an alien embryo into your opponent... the name of the weapon should give you a clue as to what happens next!)
The game delivers its multiplayer action in four different modes: Bloodlust, Frag Tag, Team Bloodlust, and Capture the Flag. In Bloodlust, the object is to rack up the most kills. In Frag Tag, three of the players try to kill the player who is currently "it." Team Bloodlust allows a mix of computer and human players to duke it out in deathmatch teams. Finally, in Capture the Flag the object is to get the flag and bring it back to a base more times than the opposition.
Single-player and two-player quest modes are used to unlock a total of 17 characters. A single player may also play the multiplayer modes against computer opponents. ~ Joseph Scoleri III, All Game Guide
