The Campaigner was defeated by Turok in Turok: Dinosaur Hunter. At the time Turok believed he had accomplished something that would benefit everyone. However, when The Campaigner, along with the Chronoscepter, were destroyed, a new evil was released. This new evil is called Primagen. Primagen existed when time began and is a being who challenged creation. It was then imprisoned by a strategically placed series of Energy Totems. By destroying the Chronocepter Turok awakened Primagen who in turn has called out to his minions, ordering them to destroy the Energy Totems.
Players take control of Turok and embark on a mission to destroy all of the evil creatures before they can release Primagen. Old foes and new foes will attempt to stop Turok. Guiding him during his quest will be Adon, the Speaker of Forever Light. Also helping Turok is his huge arsenal of weapons that includes: bows, guns, blades, mines, grenade launchers, missle launchers, and many more for a total of 25 different weapons.
Single player games follow the storyline through six levels of play. Multi-player games are played over the Internet or LAN and can be played with up to 16 players. A total of 26 levels can be used during the five types of multi-player games: Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Arena, Team Arena, and Capture the Flag. Also, during multi-player games, players do not have to play as Turok, a choice of nine characters is available. ~ Jonathan Sutyak, All Game Guide
