DESCRIPTION
Replay the 1994-1995 NFL season in this football simulation. You can choose to play a single game between two teams, control one team throughout the 1994-1995 season, or control one team through a customized season of games. A season in progress can be saved and resumed later.
In the standard play mode you are required to call the plays and then run them by controlling players on the field. An alternate Coach mode allows you to just call the plays and see the results. A Demo mode allows two computer controlled teams to compete. Other game options include field location, quarter length (2 to 15 minutes), playing surface, penalties, and difficulty level. Managerial options allow the players to allocate additional funds towards salaries and craft custom plays.
The field is shown from a perspective above and behind the offensive line which gives the game a 3D look even though the player graphics are really 2D. Before each down, plays are selected from on screen menus. Audibles may be called to change the selected play. The game provides a real time clock and allows for time outs. Great plays (or goofs) can be reviewed using an instant replay feature.
Commands that can be given during a play include: pass to one of three receivers, dive, spin, burst of speed, stiff arm, jump, hurdle, auto pitch and throw away. ~ Joseph Scoleri III, All Game Guide
