DESCRIPTION
Trivial Pursuit plays in high definition. The 2009 video game edition of the 1980s' board game sensation features new categories and new questions, with the same basic wedge-winning, ask-and-answer style of play that's defined Trivial Pursuit through the years. Players roll dice to move around a wagon-wheel shaped board, landing on differently colored tiles that represent different question categories. If a player can correctly answer a randomly drawn trivia question from the landing color's category, he can move again. Correctly answering questions on special tiles earns players a wedge-shaped tokens; one of each color is available. When a player has collected one wedge of each of the six category colors, moving to the hub of the wheel and answering a final question will win the game. The questions in Electronic Art's console game edition may be as tough as ever, but multiple-choice answers give guessers a better chance to get lucky from time to time. Other console game features engage players even when it's not their turn, such as the chance to earn extra points by guessing whether an opponent will answer a question correctly. Points can be used to gain wedges, leading to new strategies and head-to-head mini-game trivia battles between players. Profile functions track players' records and other information, such as their best and worst categories. ~ T.J. Deci, All Game Guide

“Had some friends (or rather, soon-to-be housemates) over and played this until about 5 AM. The "Friends & Facts" mode was a far more engaging way to play than classic Trivial Pursuit....”

“This game is fun to play, but there are several things I really dislike about it. The game has some extremely hard questions, as normal people would have no idea of the correct answers. The geography map is a joke. It gives you dots on a map, but doesn't tell you what the locations are. This is extremely annoying when you know what the answer is but can't figure it out on the map. The worst part about the game is that the narrator of the game is extremely rude. I've heard some comments that should not be in a family game period. With all of the bad stuff I've mentioned the game is still pretty fun. There are some paid DLC, as well as at least one free DLC. The Free DLC happens to be the best in the game. ”

“Does exactly what is says on the box LOL It's trivial pursuit, what more can I tell you. Plays a great game, the single player is fun, there's nothing special about the graphics, but what else can you do with a board game? I picked it up for $20,...”

It's trivial pursuit, what more can I tell you. Plays a great game, the single player is fun, there's nothing special about the graphics, but what else can you do with a board game?
I picked it up for $20, and I consider it a good value for money game at that price.”

“Played some games with the wife. Then helped her out on the single player challenges (kind of defeats the object of the single player side of the challenge though LOL).”

“Every now and then you have to exercise your gray matter. Was really feeling like playing some SW: Battlefront 2, but the computer was in use doing some video conversions.”

“Some friends and I played Trivial Pursuit for the PS3 today. I ended up winning, but damn it was a long game. The second place person only had 3/6 pieces when I finished, so I would say I dominated.”
