DESCRIPTION
You are a passenger on a ship that has become stranded on the mystical island of Lamini. The inhabitants of this land of medieval fantasy have asked for your help. They fear that a local noble, Lord Daggan, has gone mad and is conducting strange, magical research in his tower. None who have tried to stop Lord Daggan have ever returned, though thieves have been known to loot the treasures of the tower.
This is the scenario you are faced with in the first-person role-playing game Towers II. You are allowed to select from one of four characters with varying abilities in such areas as magic and hand-to-hand combat. Each character has variable ratings for strength, intelligence, wisdom, dexterity and constitution.
As you travel through the three-dimensional rooms of the tower, you will be confronted by a variety of monsters. Some of these are merely the men that work for Lord Daggan: Associates, Custodians and Guards. Other foes are much more mystical and dangerous: Floating Eyes, Iron Golems and the Men of the Earth (shambling heaps of mud and stone.) You can combat the beasts of the tower using hand-to-hand weapons, missiles, or magic.
The tower is littered with weapons and items which can help or hinder your quest. These include amulets, necklaces, armor, shields, gloves, rings, boots and shoes. ~ Joseph Scoleri III, All Game Guide
