Just when you thought that the Tomb Raider franchise was getting old, out comes a new adventure that brings you back to the days of exploration. From her teenage years to her latest adventures as a grown-up, Lara Croft returns to her roots in Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation, her first game for the Dreamcast!

Facing infernal traps and newly devised puzzles, Lara must embark on a journey across Egypt on an exploration of the ruins and tombs with Professor Von Croy, mentor and rival all in one. The amulet that Von Croy "accidentally" removed soon released the evil god Set. Lara must destroy this evil being in order to save the world.

The usual moves are back in this version, such as running, sprinting, sidestepping, pushing and pulling, rolling, swimming, wading, climbing walls, ducking, and crawling. Some new moves include the monkey swing, vaulting, crowbars, combining items, wide shots or single shots with the rifle, and climbing ropes and poles. Other features are the use of binoculars as well as using a Jump Pack for enhanced play. Also, vehicles like jeeps, motorcycles and sidecars are available throughout certain areas of the game.

Users can switch between analog or digital controls and even change button configurations to their liking. Save your game to the VMU if you want to continue where you left off, which can be done at any time during the game. Last but not least, other new visual enhancements are introduced like water running off Lara, special lighting effects and a plethora of CG video cut-scenes.
