DESCRIPTION
Players take on the role of Lara Croft, an explorer who is always up for any adventure that involves finding rare artifacts. This time Lara has been hired to locate and retrieve the three pieces of the Scion. From a third-person perspective players will explore 15 levels spread out over four areas of the world: Peru, Greece, Egypt, and Atlantis.
Levels are full of enemies and puzzles. Enemies come in the form of gorillas, wolves, other humans, dinosaurs, and a variety of other creatures. Lara begins the game with two pistols but throughout the game many new weapons can be found, such as a shotgun and an uzi. Weapons have limited ammunition so that players must also always be on the lookout for more.
Puzzles play a large part of Tomb Raider. In order to advance through each level one or more puzzles will need to be solved. Some puzzles are as simple as pulling the correct switches while others may require much more thinking. Along with the puzzles there are also secrets spread throughtout every level, most of which are hidden items. At the end of every level Tomb Raider tells players how long it took them to complete the level and the number of secrets found. ~ Jonathan Sutyak, All Game Guide
