The expansion to Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six, Rainbow Six: Eagle Watch offers fans of the original title more multi-player and single player missions, several new modes of play, new weapons, new operatives and smarter AI enemies.
Some new features include new multi-player modes. The six multi-player modes are "Assassin", where teams at one insertion point attempt to kill the other team's general, "Scatter Assassination", which starts teams scattered and apart with the goal of killing the opposite team's general and "Scatter", where team's individuals start at scattered positions away from each other. Other multi-player modes are "Team Terrorist Hunt", in which teams start at one base and attempt to kill terrorists, "Team Scatter Terrorist Hunt", where teams start at scattered positions and attempt to kill terrorists, and finally "Save the Base", which challenges teams to defuse a bomb located in the other team's base.
Five new missions are introduced in Rainbow Six: Eagle Watch. These missions include locations such as the Senate Wing of the US Capitol building, a Russian space shuttle launch pad, the Taj Mahal, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, the Forbidden City and two training levels: double kill house and large city street.
New weapons include the Desert Eagle 50 Caliber, a powerful handgun capable of punching through body armor, limited only by its 6-round magazine, the HK636K-assault rifle, a Heckler & Koch model developed in late 1998 useful for its compact design and 5.56mm rounds. Finally, included is the HK63A3-assault rifle, Heckler & Koch's standard assault rifle which is both accurate and deadly, firing 7.62mm NATO rounds.
Operatives introduced in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Eagle Watch are Homer Johnston from the United States, Louis Louiselle hailing from France, the UK's Eddie Price and Dieter Weber from Germany. You can find profiles of these characters at http://www.redstorm.com/r6missionpack/.
The terrorists in Rainbow Six: Eagle Watch are smarter and faster, which holds the potential to intensify gameplay. Rainbow Six: Eagle Watch also contains a large collection of detailed multi-player maps. ~ Chris Couper, All Game Guide
