It's January 1, 2999 — but there are no fireworks celebrating this new year. Earth is under attack by the planet Drakkon, masters of time travel technology. Using these abilities, these aliens have sent four Drakkon Lords back in time, each to form alliances in four historical time zones. If they are successful, all citizens of Earth will become eternal slaves of the Drakkons. But there is one hope. The fate of humanity rests upon you, Time Lord.
In Time Lord, you have until January 1, 3000 to battle your way through all four historical time periods and defeat the Drakkons for good. Your adventure will take you through such eras as medieval England (1250 A.D.), the Old West (1860 A.D.), the Caribbean in the time of pirates (1650 A.D.), World War II (1943 A.D.) and the "present" (2999 A.D.), where your game begins and ends. In each era you must find a weapon indicative of the era (a broadsword for medieval England, a shotgun for the Old West, etc.) in order to defeat the enemies and help you gather each stage's five Orbs. These keys to time travel may be obtained either by finding them in a variety of places or defeating the Drakkonian boss of each era.
Once you have defeated the Drakkons, you'll know what it means to be a true hero. And you'll know why they call you the Time Lord. ~ Christopher Michael Baker, All Game Guide
