Tiger's third outing on PSP offers 14 authentic courses, eight of which make their handheld debut. Featured venues include Cog Hill, Doral, East Lake, Firestone, Harbour Town, The National, The Ocean Course, Pebble Beach, Riviera, Spyglass Hill, St. Andrews, TPC Boston, TPC Sawgrass, and Westchester Country Club. As in the console versions, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 features a play mechanic called the "confidence meter," which increases and decreases based on your performance during specific situations on the links. Subsequent bunker shots, long putts, and so forth, will become easier or more difficult depending on your character's confidence. While having a shaky state-of-mind can cripple a normal golfer, the golfers in PGA Tour 08 can improve their focus through nine mental mini-games. These range from clearing the area of debris to wiping your cleats, juggling the ball, and even controlling your heart rate. As in previous Tiger Woods games on PSP, players can create custom characters, challenge nearby friends to wireless matches, and choose one of 14 professional stars to compete as or against. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide
