DESCRIPTION
Tiger Road by Capcom pits you as a lone samurai warrior Lee Wong trying to retrieve the many tiger scrolls that have been placed across ancient china by the evil Dragon Lord, Ryu Ken Oh. Ryo has also taken the children of the land and brain washed them, it is your journey to free them, and for that you need the tiger scrolls. Each scroll teaches your character a new ancient move, but to gain the scroll you must face a boss character at the end of each of the levels. In the side scrolling adventure you must face enemies such as samurais and dragons and giants who will try and stop you on your quest through the four levels to retrieve the scrolls. You will be able to attack with a variety of different weapons such as axes, swords and spears. There are items to be retrieved during battle that will replenish health and urns, which contain items such as new weapons.
The game play is standard left to right scrolling in which the enemies attack from the front and the goal is to advance to the encounter with the stage boss. The player is capable of an assortment short range or long range attacks depending on which weapon is currently being employed. The character can also jump up, and on angles. Jumping straight up allows the player to jump higher than jumping on angles.
The options on the lead screen allow the player the choice of turning the sound effects and music on. You can also edit the keyboard controls to your own taste. ~ Ryan Glover, All Game Guide
