DESCRIPTION

The Sims franchise embarks on an island-themed adventure with The Sims 2: Castaway. After awakening on a deserted beach, your character must learn to survive and eventually acquire four map pieces before safely returning home. To ensure a healthy stay, players must carefully monitor their Sim's levels in the following seven areas: hunger, energy, social, comfort, happiness, hygiene, and bladder. While the bulk of play involves gathering resources needed for survival, including fruits, shells, plants, wood, chickens, and other items, characters are encouraged to learn more about the island and its inhabitants by venturing out into the unknown. Offering a more open-ended design than in previous Sims games on consoles, Castaway grants players the freedom to continue living on the island or to escape to the familiarity and comforts of modern civilization. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide
