Homer, Marge, Bart, and Lisa are the last hope for Springfield in The Simpsons Game for Nintendo DS. Unlike the 3D console versions, the DS game features 12 side-scrolling levels spanning both screens in height. Each level or episode parodies films, television shows, and particularly video games, with the latter skewering such mainstays as Guitar Hero, Grand Theft Auto, and the publisher's own Medal of Honor. Players will advance by switching control between two pre-selected family members and taking advantage of each character's special abilities. The handheld version includes voice acting from the original cast and touch-screen support for both combat and puzzle solving. Other DS exclusive features include four single-card, multiplayer mini-games and a "Pet Homer" mode that involves raising and feeding Homer to keep him happy. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide
