DESCRIPTION
Based on the popular animated series, The Simpsons is a side-scrolling combat game similar to such arcade titles as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and X-Men. Four of The Simpsons characters are playable, each with a different weapon: Marge wields a vacuum cleaner; Bart rides his skateboard; Lisa has a jump rope; and Homer uses his arms, legs, and belly. Other weapons such as hammers, bowling balls, and dogs are available. Up to four players battle their way through various Springfield locations, battling zombies, winos, clowns, Mr. Burns, and other enemies. The graphics, animations, humor, and sound effects (including voices by actors from the show) are extremely faithful to the television series, giving the game the look and feel of an interactive episode. Adding to the fun are cameo appearances by Barney, Milhouse, and others, and a unique feature allowing two-character moves, such as Bart and Lisa teaming up for a rolling attack. ~ Brett Alan Weiss, All Game Guide

“I personally don't like the Simpsons, but I played this arcade game at Chucky Cheese. Normally I only got one or two quarters to play a game, but the day I played this game was special. My father came back with a pocket full of quarters and said that we could play. The game was a side-scrolling action game (like TMNT 2). It was fun, we played throughout the game, defeating bosses and doing team attacks (Bart could climb ontop of Homer and attack with his Skateboard). It was the only game like it that was an Arcade Machine that I actually finished. We must of gone through $10 of quarters, but the memories were priceless, maybe one day when I am a millionaire I will buy that Machine simply cause of the memories.”
