“Been playing a lot of TSW the last few days. It's still a lot of fun, and having been away from it for a few months before, trying other games, now I notice how beautiful TSW looks. Plays well, too....”

“First review publish on gamerDNA, because it's a real surprise for me and it's been a long time I've been so much addicted (since Neocron).
Environment:
-----------------
They seems very huge and they are not so big. Cross the map from one corner to the others is quick (at least for kingsmouth and Savage Coast, I' haven't see the others maps for now). But the great point is the feeling of be at home with some time, to be able to recognize with our eyes and known where we are. On other MMO, the scenery for me is only here for dress the world, but once I have passed, I don't take care anymore. In this game, we have to remember what we have seen, because it can be the key for investigation quests.
Gameplay:
-----------------
In overall, I think it's not a revolution. But the litlle touch of originality included in this title are well think. Skills are numerous and I really choose what I want for my character, this is become infrequent in MMO.
The skin of my character is completely free, I don't have to choose a set or a skin I dislike but go up my skills, this point is important for me.
Combat mechanic are more complex than the first contact may let think, we really have to understand all theses additions between weapons and powers, specially when we mix conventional weapons and magic. Decks are a great source of inspiration, but experimentation is still the best solution. Just be careful to scatter to much.
Background :
-----------------
Here, my roleplayer fiber is happy. Lore are scatter all around the world, as orange icons. Search for these elements is a long time work. As I cross the map in all directions with quests, I found a lot, but the last are really hidden.
Graphics :
-----------------
I play in "ultra", and I find the game really magnificent. Character modeling is a bit low sometimes (I see polygons on some cutscenes), but I don't really care. On the side of performances, I find the game really less gluttonous than The Old Republic for example.
UI :
-----------------
I find it well worked, relatively convenient but not really explained. I like the way they did for managing mini-bags. I will see when my inventory will be very full. The very bad point for now is the chat. Bugs are still here and can be really annoying. Take a teamspeak or others programs for playing with friend, it can be useful.
Quests:
-----------------
For me one of the big point of the game. If I cancel the dressing (cutscene, description, etc..), it's classic : bash, fedex, etc... But it's terribly dressed. I know why I have to do this, I know the impact or I just curious about the end of the story. For me it's a good drug.
The surprise for the quest, is investigation. We explain with a cutscene the beginning of something, up to you to complete, with your brain. Once the quest accepted, no tips, no waypoints, anything. Just few lines in quest journal. To this point, make your brain and google warm.
For me, a lot of pleasure begin from here.
To the end, it's a game where I will stand a lot of time, I'll see how Funcom will make it evolve, but it suits me very well already.”

“how the gameplay of The Secret World feels shifts for me with growing experience - player experience, that is. I start to see my failures in the skills I took so far, but also opportunities....”
