DESCRIPTION

The Perfect General is a turn-based war game played at the tactical level. Each game (scenario) has a pre-set number of turns executed by phases. Most scenarios focus on a victory condition involving geographical targets with points assigned to various towns. The game is playable by two humans, one human against the computer, or full computer control for both sides. Game play requires selection of units (each with specific costs and capabilities), placing the units in a pre-battle configuration, purchasing reinforcements when available and tactically employing and directing your units toward victory targets. Scenarios can be played solo or under a unique Match Play option. Both mouse and keyboard use is supported and the game is played from a top-down perspective on a hex-based battlefield grid. A selected range of mid-20th century warfare equipment and hardware is available for combat. ~ Michael L. House, All Game Guide
