The Addams Family — homeless? The worst could happen if an unscrupulous real-estate broker has his way and turns the stately family mansion into a new-fangled amusement park. Gomez, Morticia, Uncle Fester, and the rest won't give up without a fight, but they'll need the help of Game Boy Color gamers to save their house. Guide Wednesday and Pugsley to find the other family members as they search the house for a missing document. All the Addams really need to do is produce the papers that prove they are the mansion's rightful owners but unfortunately, these have been mislaid somewhere in the creepy, kooky, mysterious, and spooky old place. Help find the deed before its too late.

This GBC release features all the major Addams Family characters, sights, and sounds. The cartoonish game is based on The New Addams Family live-action Fox Kids series, which followed the successful feature films of the 1990s (which in turn followed the popular mid-1960s television series, which itself is based on the clever and quaint Charles Addams cartoons that first appeared in The New Yorker in the early 1930s). Using a proprietary "High Color mode" (also seen in the Microids-published The Fish Files), The New Addams Family is designed to pump high-quality graphics out of the little handheld, with the ability to display as many as 2,000 colors at once. ~ T.J.
