DESCRIPTION

The Circle of Life continues. High on an outcropping, the Lion King, Mufasa, holds his new-born son high in the air. Simba is born, and is destined to be the Lion King when Mufasa's time is up. Unfortunately, Mufasa's brother, Scar has other plans. Staging a wildebeest stampede, Mufasa is killed, and Simba blames himself and goes into self-imposed exile. Scar takes the mantle of the Lion King.

Based on the populer Disney movie of the same name, you play Simba, the Prince of the Pridelands. You will face hyena's, an elephant graveyard, a stampede, and finally Scar as you grow from a cub, to a full-grown lion. “Interesting list. The Lion King is a game that wouldn't appear on many lists like this one. I had it on the SNES, and I liked it too, but it wasn't as influential for me as it was for you. It really makes me want to think about the games I enjoyed as a kid...”

“@WILDMAMMOTH I know, I surprised myself actually. But I really wanted to crunch down and think about how I developed, and that game definitely helped transition me from PC to consoles. Disney's Aladdin shortly ensued it, in fact.”

“For me It'd be age of wonders, Doom 1/2, gran turismo, age of conan, and legend of dragoon lol weird list I know..

I remember playing just about all those games, lion king made me frustrated personally xD there was a part where you gotta jump up a stream from log to log or whatever and I could never get past that part except like once or twice I think...I did beat it eventually but yeh lol I wouldn't have thought of it as influential. I never liked FFVII, and I never liked the zelda games personally....but that's just taste of course and I always get bashed for not liking ffvii, I just found the story kind of bland and idk I liked 8 waaaay better and 9 was more fun to me lol interesting list though.”
