DESCRIPTION
Nintendo's acclaimed action role-playing series makes its Nintendo 64 debut as a 3D adventure that transforms the pastoral land of Hyrule into a dynamic, fully interactive world. Ocarina of Time is the first Zelda game to be played from a third-person view set directly behind the elfin character of Link, necessitating a new control scheme. Link can now lock onto his targets, allowing him to move freely around while the camera remains trained on the selected enemy. Jumping is automatic whenever Link approaches a ledge, and weapons or items can be freely assigned to the controller's yellow buttons for quick access.
The storyline follows Link's maturation from a young boy to a determined adult, as he journeys across the land to help those in need and to fulfill his destiny. Link will be able to acquire several familiar items from the famed series, including bombs, a boomerang, hook shot, and a bow, which switches the perspective to a first-person view. New to the game is the titular ocarina, a musical instrument whose songs can transport Link to different locations, change day into night, and more. He will even be able to summon a horse named Epona to make traveling the expansive world easier.
As Link explores his world, he will encounter numerous quests to complete on behalf of the local residents. He will also participate in an assortment of mini-games, from horse racing to fishing. Since the developers were intent on retaining the same "feel" as in previous Zelda games, players must solve various environment-based puzzles, such as lighting torches or shooting targets with the bow, while delving into a series of 14 ominous dungeons. Each dungeon culminates in a cinematic boss encounter as Link draws closer to confronting his (and Zelda's) nemesis, the evil Ganon. ~ Brian Arnold, All Game Guide

Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time pra mim, foi um absurdo de jogo. Trouxe um novo conceito pra mim com a ideia de "Time - travelling" e "Fantasy RPG".
O melhor jogo da série, sem mais.”

“It was INCREDIBLE to see the Zelda franchise transfer to the 3D world with relative ease. I would not say Ocarina is the best Zelda out there, but I will say that for it's time and for it's competition at the time it was a game that held it's own and probably excelled the N64 into a console everybody wanted.
Side note: I own Ocarina of Time 3D and that game paired up with the Master Quest make it a MUST OWN by the way! Master Quest brought so much challenge as oppose to my personal thoughts about the series becoming WAY too child friendly and no ability to switch difficulty at all in the games.
I followed Final Fantasy into the Playstation era myself and appreciated this game from a borrowed system from a friend. I still don't regret my decision of getting a Playstation, but I'm very happy I didn't miss out on this title when the excitement for it was at it's highest! It definitely set a couple of bars in it's genre and still does to this day.”

“Perhaps the defining game for the revolutionary introduction into 3D gaming, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was a fundamental breakthrough for gaming. Exploring the vast expanse of Hyrule, gamers experienced the Zelda series for the first time from the eyes of Link. With various gameplay features and a well developed story, Ocarina of Time offered players an extensive world to enjoy and battle in. This titles was also one of the first to delve into a non-linear storyline that allowed players to partake in side adventures and exploration without a bottle-necked linear path to completion. Smooth combat mechanics and a well designed user interface further enhanced the natural flow of the game (which is hard to believe since these were the days of single analog sticks). Its success has resulted in a remake to allow a new generation to experience the joys of this gaming treasure.
For gamers who experienced this in its glory days, there is not a shred of doubt that Ocarina of Time was a defining moment for gaming.”

“Perhaps the greatest game ever made. Sure, you could mess up in the Water Temple and have to reset your file. Sure, the Great Fairies looked like shamanistic hookers. We all tried to shoot Navi at one point. But this game had atmosphere in droves, and it was an absolute blast to play. It's fairly long, too, unlike Super Metroid, which can be beaten in under two hours.”

“My favorite all time game. I remember playing this with my Dad for months. I messed up the water temple on him at one point, haha. But out of all the series, this one was by far my favorite in the bunch. You just can't beat the power you had with the ocarina, something that's been absent in recent games. Song of storms on the windmill guy!”
