SNK's bountiful 2D fighting franchise abides on the Game Boy Advance in King of Fighters EX2: Howling Blood, the series' second release for Nintendo's 32-bit handheld. This version of the game features six modes of play, including a two-player Game Link Cable VS mode and a freshly scripted Story mode.

Experience is gained with each match, and is used to uncover secrets and learn new techniques. The game features 21 characters on seven different teams, with favorites like Mai Shiranui and the Bogard brothers on the Fatal Fury Team, and the Sakazakis of the Art of Fighting Team.
