DESCRIPTION

In many ways reminiscent to Golden Axe or Magic Sword, The King of Dragons allows for multiple character classes and a similar style of 2D side scrolling action. The story revolves around a city and its trouble withstanding attacks from a red dragon named Gildiss. You are to develop an assault of one or two characters to find this dragon and rid your home of danger once and for all. There are five character classes to choose from and all based upon classic fantasy games. Between the Fighter, Wizard, Cleric, Elf, and Dwarf there are plenty of interesting powerup combinations and spells to keep things interesting on multiple plays. In addition, a unique gaming concept is the use of magic crystals throughout the game which must be struck by a friendly weapon in order to release their powers upon the onscreen enemies. ~ Paul Biondich, All Game Guide
