DESCRIPTION
The Grinch, based on Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas book and related characters, puts you in control of both The Grinch and his dog Max as you adventure through 24 missions, four distinct environments, and three mini-games. Set in Whoville, your goal is to prevent Christmas from taking place by causing mischief, using a variety of strange gadgets such as a rotten egg launcher, a slime shooter, and The Grinch's copter.
From high atop Mt. Crumpit, you employ odd contraptions like the octopus-climbing device, rocket-spring, nitro eggs, and costumes as you sneak into town to destroy the holiday season by snatching gifts, destroying snowmen and Christmas trees, and solving puzzles. In addition to downtown Whoville, action takes place at the Whos' forest, dump, and lake.
While the prime objective is to "steal Christmas" by finishing at least one mission in each environment, completing the entire game is more complex. You must find all gadget blueprints and assemble them using The Grinch's computer, complete all primary and secondary missions, and break all the gifts found in the four locales. The game's release was timed to coincide with the premiere of Universal Studios' movie of the same name. ~ Michael L. House, All Game Guide
