Bloodmoon, the second expansion pack for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, takes players to the island of Solstheim. The Empire is trying to establish a mining colony, but fearsome packs of werewolves and the prophecy of Bloodmoon are threatening the entire project.
Players will journey north from Vvardenfell and discover the frozen wilderness of Solstheim, full of dangerous new creatures including frost trolls, ice minions, and, of course, werewolves. Defending the mining colony requires players to undertake a series of quests, however, characters can also opt to join the werewolves.
Werewolves eschew weapons and magic, preferring to fight with their claws. Would-be werewolves must contract lycanthropy from another werewolf, and are then beset by harrowing dreams asking them to complete a series of werewolf quests. ~ Mark Hoogland, All Game Guide
