DESCRIPTION
This RPG provides a vast world encompassing literally thousands of cities, villages, dungeons, cemeteries, castles, ruins, farms and shrines. Custom build your character by choosing race, background, class (or create your own), physical attributes, skills, allergies, dislikes, likes and more. Create magic spells or choose from a vast array of premade spells (over 75); create items. Own property and ships, join organizations and guilds or trade goods and services. World constantly evolves depending upon your choices; interact with thousands of characters with dialogue and action. Participate in unlimited battles with monsters, creatures and humans or focus on large scale quests and build a life for your character.
Chapter II of The Elder Scrolls builds upon the world of Tamriel introduced in the first episode of the series: Arena. Ambitious in nature and size, TES: Daggerfall presents the player with unlimited hours of play. There is a complex storyline within the game with multiple possible endings — or no ending at all depending on your choice of character interaction. Magic, sorcery, monsters, shopping, adventuring, exploring, fighting, talking, reading (and lots of it), blackmail, treasure hunting, praying, building a fortune, vampires, lycanthropy and more awaits the player ready to venture into this enormous world of changing politics, quests and survival. ~ Michael L. “Elder Scrolls 2; a super classic game, didn't actually play this one until after Oblivion though! It's like totally huge though, it's got like 30 sectors each the size of Oblivion. You could even...”

“My first real sandbox RPG. It blew my mind with the idea of a first person open world with extensive customization abilites. It was also the first game where what my character did influenced how he advanced. If he snuck around a lot, his sneak skills got better; if he bartered a lot, those skills got better. The dungeons were rediculously large and I even had a character die getting into an unescapable situation. Of course near the end I started to see the flaws inherent in Daggerfall; the cookie cutter NPC's, transparent foliage, the generic outdoors which made fast travel needed to get anywhere. But overall it was a long, fun ride.”

“I sorely wish this game had spawned a genre.
I spent an awfully large chunk of my formative years lost in the many kilometer long depths of its dungeons, and emerged several years later with a well honed sense of direction and spatial relationships.
Other games might have added more depth to the roleplaying genre, but no game before or after has managed to capture Daggerfall's breadth.

“While an old game, I still have many vivid and fond memories of slaughtering innocent townsfolk, guards, and hostile creatures and enemy agents alike.”

“A rat bit me, an imp refused to die, and a scantily clad rogue killed me.”

“This was another old title I recently revisited. Though bug ridden, it is still a great rpg. Non-linear, massive world, good quests and story, lots of stuff to do. Finally managed to finish the main quest line!”
