DESCRIPTION
In Dreadnaught Factor, dreadful Dreadnaughts have taken up a position near a peaceful planet, and it's up to the player to fend them off. Piloting a small fleet of Novaray Hyperfighters (one at a time, of course), the player's job is to strafe the huge, screen-filling Dreadnaughts, blasting and bombing their huge number of cannons (which fire at anything approaching them) and their complement of space fighters (which mobilize when anything approaches them). Frankly, the odds aren't in the player's favor, but blowing all of the Dreadnaught's defenses and weapons will result in a satisfying (and equally screen-filling) explosion — and the arrival of the next Dreadnaught, of course. During the player's assault, each Dreadnaught edges closer to a stargate, and if it reaches that gate with even one cannon intact, the game ends with the destruction of the planet. Anyone who ever thrilled at the idea of Han Solo rushing a Star Destroyer head-on with nothing more than the Millennium Falcon in The Empire Strikes Back should get a kick out of this game. ~ Earl Green, All Game Guide
