“It is fairly clear after playing a few levels of Tenchu Z that it isn't the best of the series: the maps are repetitive, the AI is complete rubbish, the cutscenes are half-assed, the storyline is boring and the vast majority of missions are fairly easy, even on the highest difficulty, the whole game feels like the developers just shat it out.
However, I like playing it. Making a custom ninja and dressing him/her up is enjoyable, and rolling around stealth killing dumb guards is a fine time killer. And really, that's all you can hope to get out of your average game. ”

I love the multiple stealth kill mechanics, the character customization, and the skill selection. Nothing beats clinging to the roof and pulling a guy up the to the ceiling for the ceiling kill. And stabbing people through the doors was awesome. Storyline wise, this game is lacking a bit, but the gameplay more than made up for it. The online mode was a bit confusing at first, but once I got the hang of it, it is really fun. Great game. ”

“Who never wanted to be a ninja assassin at some point in their life? This is a true stealth assassin game, unlike the wacky melee mayhem that is Assassin's Creed. Not the best game overall, but definitely a good stealth game. Terrible graphics.”
